The stock electric fan is primarily for the AC and overheating conditions.
The is the small electric fan mounted in the nose of the vehicle in front of the
radiator and AC condensor core. If this fan fails or is unplugged, a
warning light will trigger when it's supposed to be in operation. This
fan would normally turn on when the AC is ON or triggered by the thermoswitch
located on the thermostat cover. Our experience has shown that this
thermoswitch tends to trip at around 225°F, but the Mazda FSM states the
spec as around 207°.
