The stock radiator is composed of an aluminum core with plastic endtanks.
The crimp seams at the endtanks have been known to leak. Try to keep the
black, plastic undertray installed, as it keeps debris from kicking up from the
road and damaging the radiator itself.
If your radiator has a radiator cap on it, check to see if the rubber seal
underneath is still good. If the rubber seal is not in good shape, it
can cause a leak which will compromise the cooling system. The cooling
system needs to be pressurized to work properly. Even a pin-hole leak
with compromise cooling capacity.
