When U-joints fail, they transmit vibrations to the chassis which increase with speed.  The front U-joint usually fails first.  You can inspect the U-joints by removing the driveshaft from under the car.  If there is excessive play or binding, the U-joint needs to be replaced.

The problem with the U-joints on the driveshaft is that they are not replaceable.  The driveshaft needs to be retrofitted to handle replaceable U-joints or swap for a good, used driveshaft (with good U-joints).

Check your local telephone listings for a driveline shop in the automotive section.  They can give you a better idea of labor and costs involved with a fix.
