If the front
transmission seal is leaking, transmission fluid will seep from the transmission
bell housing, between the engine and transmission. Unfortunately, you'll
need to remove the transmission from the engine to service the seal. Once
the inside of the bell housing can be accessed, remove the throw-out bearing and
clutch fork. After those components are moved out of the way, the front
transmission seal is easily seen.
