The original stock speakers are of poor quality. It is highly recommended
to replace them with aftermarket speakers, as you will surely end up with better
sound! With the age of the vehicles, the original speakers will typically
have crumbling foam surrounds. The crumbling foam will cause the speaker
to produce very bad noises. The original stock speakers are 4Ω - this
is the standard impedence of most aftermarket car audio speakers, so replacements
are easy to find.
Like the speakers, the rest of the stock, original stereo electronics is poor.
It is recommended to replace the stereo headunit, and bypass (or replace) the stock
original amplifiers.
