All FC3S turbo models in the U.S. have a keyhole light on the driver's side
door lock. This is usually not functioning due to water getting into
the mechanism and rusting the wires leads or blowing the light. Replacing
this light from the Mazda dealer will require purchasing the entire outer
door handle assembly and is not cost effective. You can purchase
small 12VDC lamps from Radio Shack or any number of online electronics
parts stores (i.e. Parts Express) and replace just the light itself.
Handle microswitches can also be the culprit, and it's smart to test them to
make sure they are working also.
The door lock light is supposed to trigger when you lift the outer door handle
before unlocking the door itself.
