The air flow meter does not
generally fail too often. Failure is usually due to tampering - do not
mess with the unit. There are no owner adjustments. Keep the air
flow meter in it's upright (or upside down) position. Any tilting of the
air flow meter from it's absolute horizontal position can cause idle and
hesitation problems. The upright position will have the black, plastic
cover on top; the upside down position will show the flat, cross-ribbed,bottom
plate.
Please do not adjust the bypass screw, as this is only for factory
calibration. Tampering can cause idle and hesitation problems.
