You can never go wrong
with the Mazda OEM oil filter.
There are some apprehensions about these Mazda oil filters, as the the newest
batch of oil filters "looked" inferior to the older batches - the lettering on
the metal case is not as sharp (i.e. smeared) versus the older units; the
internals look "cheaper" when peering into the center hold of the filter
base. Whatever the case, if you do run into oil filtration problems, you
can blame Mazda!
If we're talking about aftermarket oil filters here,
then you gotta check out the Oil Filter Study that's well-known in the
automotive circles on the Inet. I really can't summerize the entire
