Idle problems are one of the most hardest to troubleshoot and solve.  Hopefully, this guide will help in trying to solve your idle problems and headaches.

Due to the use of an airflow meter, intake vacuum leaks are usually the number one culprit of idle problems.  The aging of the vehicles does not help, as loose or cracked hoses and clamps are causes for these leaks.

• Too low (under 750 RPM)
• Too high (over 750 RPM)
• Bouncing / surging / cycling
• Inconsistent / rough
