Symptoms:
Huge amounts of oil smoke (white or blue, smell is acrid and burns the nose) under
throttle-lift out the exhaust, especially under high RPM's
Possible fixes:
This is usually a strong indication of failing oil control o-rings.
Do this quick test to confirm if the oil control rings in the engine are to blame...
- In neutral, rev the engine to 3,000RPM to 4,000RPM.
- Hold for at least 10 to 15 seconds.
- If there is more smoke out the exhaust, the oil control o-rings are bad.
