Symptoms:
No response from starter - no clicking, nothing.  This problem is typically caused by a very dead battery.

Bad / loose starter solenoid connection:  A bad or loose connection on the starter solenoid (thin wire with female spade connector) can prevent the starter from engaging.
Check connection; replace if necessary

Bad ignition key cylinder:  Bad contacts on the ignition key cylinder will prevent power going to the starter solenoid.
Check ignition key cylinder; replace if necessary
