If engine oil is leaking out the bottom of the transmission bell housing, it's either the rear main oil seal or the o-ring for the rear stationary gear is bad.
  1. Remove engine or transmission.
  2. Remove clutch from flywheel.
  3. Remove flywheel nut.
  4. Remove flywheel - don't lose the flywheel key!
After removing the flywheel, check the rear of the flywheel.  If the oil looks like it's leaking onto the back of the flywheel, it's most likely the real main oil seal.

If you see the oil leaking from between the rear housing and the rear stationary gear, it's the o-ring on the rear stationary gear.  Leave the rear main oil seal, and remove the six bolts on the rear stationary gear.  The gear should slide back; tapping it with a hammer should ease the removal.  Once the rear stationary gear is removed, remove the old o-ring and replace with a new one.
