If your turbo is not producing the normal amount of boost, it's either due to an intake leak or a problem with the turbo itself.  Please check out our intake leak page for more info; intake leaks will typically make a "whoosh" noise under boost.  If the turbo is hurt, little or not boost is the result; somtimes, a bad turbo will produce screeching noises under boost.  Under extreme turbo problems, the shaft and wheels will seize and not spin at all, causing no boost noises.
